Swiss chocolatiers prefer quality over quantity

Chocolate makers in Switzerland want to convice their countrymen to embrace quality over quantity.
Last week end, thousands of people lined up outside a chocolate venue  to get a taste of their finest wares. 24 master chocolatiers have been invited to teach visitors and explain the fine points of cocoa quality and flavoring.

At a summit Sunday, the leaders are expected to ask banks to accept huge losses on Greek bonds to ease the pressure on the country, and to raise billion more in capital to weather those losses.

Old German satellit arrive toward Earth

From Thursday, retired German satellit ROSAT could crash into the Earth. Today, experts don't know where could land the pieces: a vast swath of territory that includes much of the earth outsides the poles. Parts of the satellites will burn up during re-entry.
This satellit was launched in 1990 for 9 years in order to research on black holes and neutron stars.

Migrating swans in Alaska

Plenty of photographers are in Alaska this month to see migrating swans. Trumpeter and tundra swans fly south every October. Hundreds of swan pairs stop at lakes and ponds: bird watchers stay in the viewing areas for a shot of flying. The swans have to leave this area because it's so cold for them.

Reopening gas pipeline from Libya to Italy

After 8 months, the petrol connexion between Libya and Italy will reopen because of the Lybia's war. The Eni oil company will run initial tests of 3 million cubic meters soon. The amount of the transportation currently represents  9 billion cubic meters (12% of Italian importation).
This Greenstream's restart is a good economic news  for these both countries.

Last months, Dominique Strauss-Kahn was on track to be the French presidency. But he had an investigation for sexual assault and attempted rape against him. However, French prosecutor drops the ex-IMF chief case about his behaviour toward women because it happened too long ago.

Industrial production in Germany increase

Official figures for the industrial Germany grew in July with + 4 percent over the month before. The output increasing is better than market expectation (+ 0,5%).
However, data show that demande has fallen. Economists signaled a note of caution for next months in Germany.

Primary voting for the Socalist party

French socialist have to determine presidential candidate for 2012. Six candidates want win to take on Nicolas Sarkozy, the French President. Pools show François Hollande and Martine Aubry, with a clear lead.
All registered voters can go this week end to choose one candidate.

Germany's lufthansa airline wants reduce carbon dioxide emissions: it start biofuel flights. The company will reduce CO2 emissions using mix of regular fuel and biosynthetic kerosene. However, German environmental group criticized the project because planes is a bad transport for the environment.
